From exploring Rodney Bay in the northside to Soufrière in the south, you can easily find a boat charter that departs from either side of the island. The ocean conditions in St. Lucia are quite calm compared to other Caribbean islands, so the boat rides are often smooth and the water is warm.

Best Sights In St. Lucia By Boat
The Pitons
When booking a boat charter, you can’t go on it without seeing The Pitons, St. Lucia's most famous landmark. These iconic mountains can be seen on land, but the views don’t compare to the unobstructed sights you can get on the water. You can find the Gros Piton and Petit Piton volcanic spires near Soufrière.
Soufriere Bay
On the west side of St. Lucia, Soufriere Bay sits right below the gorgeous Pitons. If you plan to see The Pitons, you’ll likely want to make a stop here and at the beautiful Hummingbird Beach that’s right in the bay. Many people come to Soufriere Bay for views of the pitons by land, but you’ll find the best ones on the water. Catamarans and sailboats commonly anchor in the harbor.
Marigot Bay
Marigot Bay is a scenic sandy beach near Castries. The waters are calm and shallow, making it a great stop for families and to grab lunch at Dr. Doolittle’s Restaurant. You’ll find the shores lined up with coconut palms, and there is a market where local handicrafts are sold. The sunset views are outstanding here.
Rodney Bay
Rodney Bay in Gros Islet is the home of Reduit Beach, arguably the most beautiful beach in St. Lucia, and it ranks highly among the best ones in all of the Caribbean. But it’s also home to Pigeon Island Beach and the Splash Island Water Park. The bay is located on the north coast of St. Lucia and is often the main departure or drop-off point for a lot of boat charters.
Pigeon Island
Pigeon Island is less visited by tourists than other places and offers a more secluded experience. It’s characterized by Fort Rodney, an 18th-century British fort. The fort provides panoramic views of Rodney Bay once you reach the top. Pigeon Island is classified as a national park, and the vibrant reefs around it offer snorkeling opportunities with abundant marine life.
Sugar Beach
Sugar Beach sits right between the two Pitons, making for an interesting viewpoint. Its gorgeous scenery is just one part of its splendor, with soft white sand and shallow water that’s teeming with fish and other marine life. The beach has a boat jetty where you can easily dock, so it’s a popular place for boat charters. It’s unique in that you’ll find floating water hammocks that anyone can use.
